AN ALLEGED serial rapist appeared in court yesterday charged
with carrying out a string of sex crimes against women across the
island.
Azuar Ahamad, 39, is facing five counts of rape, three of sexual
assault and 14 of molestation.
He is also said to have drugged four women, stolen bank cards
and been in possession of obscene movies.
His alleged victims were aged between 20 and 40.
Azuar is said to have drugged the four women - causing them to
lose consciousness - at different locations such as shopping
centres in Bishan and Woodlands.
The alleged sex attacks took place mostly at budget hotels in
areas such as Balestier, Serangoon Road, Pasir Panjang and Lavender
Road.
