A 21-year-old man has been charged with making a 12-year-old
girl perform a sexual act on him.
Jafny Mohamed Sunny allegedly committed the crime at a lift
landing at a block of flats in the east at around 1pm on 8
October.
If convicted, he can be jailed up to 20 years and receive at least
12 strokes of the cane.
It’s also believed Jafny had been molesting several other women in
the neighbourhood since late September by posing as a Police
officer.
He allegedly pretended to check his victims for items such as drugs
before molesting them.
Jafny is also believed to have flashed fake passes at the women to
convince them that he was a police officer.
The slim, tanned young man, who’s unrepresented, will be remanded
at the Central Police Division.
He will be back in court next Friday.
