I think you read too much Straits (PAP) Times, so much so
that you are heavily influenced by PAP propaganda and accept
all that is reported in the Straits (PAP) Times as gospel
truths without exercising much of your grey matter. 
Below is a comparison of crime rates in Singapore and Malaysia,
there are afew states where the crime rates surpassed that of
Singapore's, but a large majority of Malaysian states have less
crimes than Singapore.
The 3 states in Malaysia with higher crime rates than Singapore
(768) are, Selangor (1,005), K. Lumpur (1,399) and P. Pinang
(854).
