'Monster' dad gets 36 years

SHE was six when her father molested her. He was caught and jailed
six years and caned 12 strokes.
The odd-job labourer, 43, was released from prison four years later
for good behaviour and moved home with his wife and two children
including the girl, who was by then nine.
About four years later, the abuse began again, when she was 13. He
started molesting her when they were alone, then forced her to
perform oral sex on him, and finally started raping her
repeatedly.
She was 16 when she became pregnant, and that was when she told her
mother and he was caught again. She gave birth last September, and
the baby girl was given up for adoption.
Yesterday, Justice Woo Bih Li
called him an incorrigible monster and sent him to jail for 36
years - one of the harshest sentences for sex
offenders ever.
The man, who cannot be named to protect his daughter's identity,
was also ordered to be caned 24 strokes, the maximum allowed under
the law.
