Take note that the ban is on the object (chewing
gum), not the verb (chewing
gum).
You can chew gum in Singapore, it is not an offence.
It is an offence only to import, sell or buy chewing gum without
a permit.
So if some chewing gum miraculously appear in you hand, you can
chew it, its ok.
