Gedanken SG Over here the restrictions are 125kw or 3.5 litres per tonne. An older Club Spec WRX just squeaks in at 124.5 kw per tonne.

Gedanken SG Getting your licence means that you’re finally allowed to drive without adult supervision – it doesn’t mean that you’re Carlos Sainz. For someone who’s just come off his training wheels, something with front wheel drive and between 10-12 kg/kw would be just fine until he stops being hazardous. Good brakes wouldn’t hurt too.

Gedanken SG You could spit in any direction (not that I'd recommend it in Singapore) and have better than even odds of hitting a FWD car. Just as well you've got time on your hands at the moment - go do your research.

LH83 SG Frankly... 1.3k isn't enough to support you, AND a car... Been doing some calculations lately... if you want to support a normal saloon car, a safe amount to put aside each month for the car is 1.2k... while for cars like the WRX, about 2 - 2.3k... I suggest you save your money first... and wait till you get a job/promotion that pays about 3k... then you should have enough...
