It is getting ridiculous. It is just unfair to expect everyone
to speak Mandarin, especially those from other races.
Maybe those who are Indian should just answer back in Tamil and
see what's the reaction of the staff.
I remembered once when I was in cartel or swensons, I placed my
order in English. The waitress gave me a blank look and I thought
for a moment if I said anything wrong. It took me a while to
realise that she actually could not understand English.
And then when I wanted to ask for an extra set of cutlery, it
took me a while to get the words "dao" & "cha" out from my
memory. lol
