New S'pore record set for most number of campfire
participants
SINGAPORE: Residents in Tampines East blazed to a new
Singapore record on Saturday and they
did this while spreading the message of family and racial
harmony, as well as the importance of
going green.
Some 500 families made it to the
Singapore Book of Records for the most number of campfire
participants.
The event was aimed at highlighting the importance of family and
also to bring together residents of different races and
cultures.
This included Singaporeans, new citizens and Permanent
Residents.
Families also came together to compete in a best-dressed
competition that featured environmentally friendly costumes made
out of recycled materials.
