Powerful quake recorded near Indonesia's
Java
Indonesia's seismology agency says it has recorded a powerful
7.3 earthquake near the main island of Java.
A tsunami warning that was issued earlier has been lifted.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake with a magnitude
of 7.4.
Its epicentre was 142 km southwest of Tasikmalaya in West
Java.
Residents in Jakarta reported buildings shaking, and some
offices were evacuated.
