CCS to review bus operators' representations in
price-fixing case
SINGAPORE: The Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS)
said Friday it will review representations from 16 bus operators
and the Express Bus Agencies Association (EBAA).
This will be done before making a final decision in its
investigation against the parties for price-fixing as well as the
financial penalties to be imposed, if any.
CCS has issued a written notice against the 16 companies
and EBAA for fixing the prices of express bus tickets from
Singapore to various destinations in Malaysia from 2006 to
2008.
Following that, the 16 operators and EBAA have been given
six weeks to argue the case set out by CCS.
