The Central Narcotics Bureau or CNB seized more than $260,000
worth of drugs in an operation yesterday.
They also arrested a drug syndicate leader, his girlfriend and a
drug courier.
Following a tip off, CNB officers arrested the 36-year-old
courier in a multi-storey carpark in the Orchard area at about
4.20pm.
5 minutes later, the 49 year old syndicate leader and his 36
year old girlfriend were arrested in the same carpark.
The operation also saw officers seize two Singapore-registered
cars and more than $31,000 in cash.
Urine tests on the three suspects were all positive for
drugs.
They will be investigated for drug trafficking.
If convicted, they face the death penalty.
