Suspected driver arrested after army jeep rolled over
& killed serviceman
SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a full-time National
Serviceman in connection with the death of Second Lieutenant
Nicholas Chan Wei Kit who was pinned under a military vehicle last
Friday.
The 19-year-old serviceman is believed to be the driver of the Land
Rover which rolled backwards, hitting 2LT Chan who was inspecting
it.
2LT Chan, who was at Seletar Camp when the incident occurred, later
died in hospital.
The suspect is now out on bail and assisting police in
investigations.
