There are six long weekends next year, due to public holidays
falling on Fridays or Sundays.
It starts with New Year's Day, which falls on a Friday.
This will be followed by the Lunar New Year long weekend,
falling on the 14th and 15th of February.
Given that the Lunar New Year falls on a Sunday and Monday,
Tuesday the 16th was declared a public holiday as well, making the
weekend especially suitable for short jaunts abroad.
Other public holidays falling on Fridays next year include Good
Friday, Vesak Day, Hari Raya Puasa and Deepavali.
