this forum is almost better that i find, although there are
many forums out there with a very specific agenda and population
group i won't bring in (example, a true-blue Car forum, or
Golf forum, or Linguistics forum) of course
that's different
but this kind of general
forums with wide-ranging topics, sgforums (i strongly think) is
much more "adult" than i feel from sgclub, as recently i had been
following the AWARE issue, and in sgclub you can find
no more than 1-2 page of
poor responses to AWARE threads, with many responses in between
such as "What's it all about?", "I seriously do not know what is
this aware about" etc etc..... Just go to Chit-Chat and take
a look at the AWARE thread how mature are the people responses
here.. and go to Speaker's Corner where none other forums can
compare neither to the matureness of debate (albeit occasionally
flaming) nor to the spectrum of issues.
no doubt i find some other forums may have a bit more thread
starters (on a good will to discuss), but i find some sort of
general lack of substance from the majority
