There is a free Android app that allows you to lookup old
streets of Singapore in English and their colloquial names in
Chinese characters, pinyin and dialects. Malay and Tamil colloquial
names for some of them.
e.g.大坡二马路 (Tua Poh Tua Bei Lo) is New Bridge Road, 金蕉腳 (Kin Chio
Ka) is Petain Road
I’m ensure you’ll find it useful. Look for “Singapore Heritage
Streets” in Google Play.
