Should I appeal my LTA fine in court ?

Kenna LTA fine for travelling on Bus Lane along Jurong TH road towards St 11. I have entered only about 3 cars space early thinking i can ease the jam towards AYE direction and there is no bus behind. In the summon it stated as "A part of Bus lane". We are also public transport services, like that cannot give chance meh. Write to them for wavier give me a standard template answer. The worst its stated if you dont pay the fine by xxx, you will need to attend court on XX Aug 2008. I really dont feel like paying and see how the summon me to court.

Recently heard alot of LTA fine on Taxi which can term as "inhuman". Cabby park at CBP for resting and took a nap inside near mid night. Wake up saw a summon. LTA enforcemen cannot wait him up and ask him to move off meh.

Govt one mouth say we must create a more passionate and caring society. Are we really moving towards it. Now i follow bus lane very diligently, but if someone park on the bus lane and obstruct the bus, I will certainly exercise my rights. Dont expect me to give way. The Bus already got bus lane, if obstructed by parking car, the bus driver pls call LTA hor.

I kena before and appeal since its my first time and it was waive off with warning. Unless u do it so often then boh pian .

Ya first time appeal can one...they will give chance one. If you from CDG then ask DRO appeal for your easier. Just need to explain why you inside then end with sorry sorry I dun do it again can liao....Bo tai chi one....

Date to compound, don't pay..........

Fine will escalate, still don't compound, until certain time frame, you want to compound also beh sai liao...........

Than court issue letter will serve you, failure to attend court hearing, warrant of arrest will be issue............

Knn, just because you had enter bus lane, why play so big?.........

Is a current case that i have yet to settle. They wrote if i dont pay will have to attend court on xx Aug 2008. I feel like dont pay and see how i can attend court on xx Aug 2008.

I entered the bus lane because there is heavy jam for car moving straight to AYE and the bus lane (BL) is empty. Just by cutting into the BL of 3 cars length earlier, i m also freeing up space for the car going straight. I did not travel the whole BL to take short cut. Is that really a big sin ?

Nowadays, you give those ppl some authority, they will use it to their fullest. These ppl cannot assess right or wrong intelligently. And when u write to them, they give a reply with "attend court on xx Aug 2008". It look really unprofessional and maybe simply just cut and plaste to reply ppl.

Better settled with LTA before court case letter come .

Letter come cannot appeal liao , very troublesome .

Anyway , ask Jasmine if she can help write u a letter to appeal .

Jurong Town hall area IBP bus lanes very senstive .

I suggest just pay and forget it .

And make sure dun use buslanes again .

First time caught speeding since pass class 3 at 2008

sent appeal email n replied need not comply to pay composite fine by 18th january

Even ts attend the court on august, if he wanna appeal or trial, the judge will give him another court date to claim trial, so is gonna be time wasting for ts, i used to be regular at the nite court for traffic offence, seeing how many ppl kana slap with a big fine when matter can be compound. Just pay and forget it, u want pay like $600 – 1000 OR 130? If ts still dun wanna to pay after the judge fine him, he can wash his backside clean and go in to sit.

Well, Singapore is a fine city, you might be able to waive off points if you are reaching the limit of your 24 points, tell them you need it to earn a living and apologise many many.

Fines can earn back lah, can be painful, but after few months, forget already, and also the most important is you learned a lesson
