hello everyone, i'll be collecting the vehicle on friday.
officially a taxi uncle tomorrow. :)
wanna share the overall experience of the process at defu.
its not that bad, compared to what i've read here last time. got
my queue number from the receptionist counter. am served by
mellisa. a short conversation, handed a written piece of paper with
the available vehicles. following by a search for mr toh.
just to describe mr toh, for ease of new ppl finding him. he's
quite tall, dark, slim and wear spects. maybe 35 to 40 years of
age. very polite and patient guy. get ur cell phone to record the
vehicle numbers he gives u. he'll tell u where they are so u can
view them and make a selection.
from memory theres about 9 1.8 wish, 2 available the rest
reserved. for 2.0 wish there are 3. 2 got taken by another guy and
me, and theres 1 guy viewing around for a 2.0 wish too. thats on
wednesday, which is yesturday.
one wish driver who was there for servicing, also by the name of
mr toh, gave a big help by helping me search for mr toh and viewing
the vehicles with me. advising and checking through the vehicle.
told me theres a referral fee so dont waste it.
ok selected vehicle and went back to mellisa. initially thought
jus collect the vehicle on the same day to do whats needed. mellisa
advised can choose to collect within 6 days, to fully utilise the
free rental day. also nice is the way she reminded nicely tht
theres a market practice to share the refferal fee 50 50, but
maintains tht its not a written contract. thumbs up for mellisa for
helping new drivers.
lastly, went to queue at the cashier to pay for the 1k deposit.
500 will be deducted from incentive. windscreen insurance is 3.60
as theres only a few days left this year.
things to bring are the posb atm carb for giro application, and
a passport size photo.
salute ~
