Pax don't want to pay ERP charge , how u deal with them ?

Angwk7118 SG

I always tell pax. Any issue go and dispute with our government. Not my problem. do not

wish to pay follow me to police station. And most important meter continue running

bowah SG

I alway tell pax the ERP ahead, most knew it, like morning from meyer going into anson. Pax said ECP, edward..knn, that alone the ERP on ECP and CBD already $7, so you need to inform pax. Therefore, it is important to update ourselve on ERP gantries, the timming and charges, it is part of our knowledge requirement as a TD, it will help us in building our confident and also give the pax the confident in us.

As usual taxi enter ERP gantry with pax , pax must pay .

Got one member , press stop meter , pax kao peh kao bu dun pay ERP charge ?

How u deal with these people ?

Not paying erp is an offence to the govt (LTA) that indirectly become our problem which we have no benefit over it, it could be that pax wanted a different route, but your member went into a different route against the pax requirement that end up inccuring higher ERP rates. If this the case, the pax got a case to argue even if end up in mata chu.

Like selling chicken rice, once prepared, service rendered, you must paid for it, but if that plate of chicken rice is not what your ordered, you have the right not to eat and pay for it.

Long long time ago, when Restricted Zone still using coupon..........very good...........

Only the first pax pay for the coupon........rest of the days taxi uncle no worry..........

Nowadays?.........don't say pax don't pay, even I myself also beh song...........my daily cash card deduction is roughly $30.............

Knn........

Pro and Con on CBD erp

My spending on erp at night is $4-8 starting 6pm.

Be cos of most taxi driver unwilling to go in pay and pay, I breakeven by 9pm.

But we'll see again come next week when chevy come in and my rental go up by 20.

My approach same as Terry Young. Locals – seldom question ERP, more City Surcharge but now also seldom except borderline case: Selegie/Mackenzie, stand before ERP gantry to take taxi type of paxs.
For foreigners – point at IU and say paid toll fee to govt, they understand better.
Always asks preferred route when ERP routes involved. If they know say, tell them I taking the most popular route. Threaten go police? Okay if they pay but how many TDs actually go Police just for ERP and get things done??

bowah SG

If people look at it as a small $1 or $2 cost and do not want to waste time over such trival cases, then our police will alway be shaking legs and having nice coffees, which is happening. But we should not take the issue base on monetary issue alone, but rather base on a principle issue.

Once you set it as a principle issue, you will seek the justice out of it, even if it is a 50cts ERP matter, so to speak.

Usually foreigner ok one...tell them ERP they will ask you SMLJ? Tell then is toll or congestion charge they will understand.

hammerhammer8888 SG

Our IU got put mah...."please pay"....if no pay then mata chu no talk...

Yes I see injustice and seek justice.. refer Police involvement thread..
