So it looks that this idea of writing to the Minister, might not be possible since Poolman is unwilling.

Of course to come out with those ideas , i could be just one of those who can contribute , in fact more could contribute ... and let's compile our ideas , altogether , using better , formal in writing , in good english , to present to our leaders .

We provide those soft copy , someone to compile into hard copy , and sent it all up .

If Mr Lui are impress with our ideas , and would like to meet us .... why not ? Some of those key members in our Presentation team ( including yourself ) can meet him in person ?

They dun like it , they dump into the paper bin .... that's it ! For fuck i see him or got interviewed which they do not like those ideas ? Wasting his time and my time , tio bo ?

Again , if they are impress , and would like to see the whole team that compile those ideas , why not ?

I can always lead a team there ..... nothing to be ashame at .

So here we have issues like ERP cost at 6.30pm as one example ....

Another was the Yellow Top Taxis privately owned , which if that goes thru , do i make Singapore taxi drivers happy ? I swear many will be very happy , maybe JDIL might convert his Van into a MPV taxi ?

And some issue like Location Surcharge to be impose to curb those complaints ..... Garden by the bay , outside of CBD , Bird Park , Zoo , Night Safari , Checkpoint , Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal etc ....

And question of surcharge should be taken out altogether ?

And up those taxi flag down to a more reasonable rate like $5 for normal cabs , and $8 for Limousine ? Discard all surcharge away , except AP .

And should there be a standard ERP charge for taxi ?

During 2011 , mid June .... we had people hearsay taxi price going up soon .....

After many discussions , we had mention peak hour surcharge should be extended .

Instead of 5-8pm , extend til 12mn .... with a lower surcharge .

They actually adopt similiar price structures .

But instead of 5pm to 12mn i mentions , they delay til 6pm to 12mn .

And instead of the 30% i suggested , they do it for just 25% .

And we did not say $0.22 , we said remain that way .

But they did it at 400m @ $0.22 , which lead to all $0.01 confusions .

And some suggest Holiday Surcharge to be taken out altogether , they did !

i believe there must be ways to curb the inadequate balance between supply n demand .

by saying $2 taxi , will caused a massive demand , lacking of supplies to match that demand , then all call centre will page jobs like mad dogs . That was what happened at 2005-2006 season .That time flag down were $2.60 .

there is no need to lower to $2 , current fare structure already proven that short trip for 4pax for a short destination is cheaper than taking mrt/bus

i believe setting the current starting meter at $5 (normal taxi)with other charges remain would not be have too big a impact to commuter. $3.20 is very dirt cheap base on the past year inflation here in singapore, now $3.20 may not even buy yo a bowl of noodle in foodcourt

but again driver must also understand, nothing is bein free in this world

if you are given a higher starting meter, commuter in return would expect better service in return

Service – what is service? can we define service for our trade(taxi)?

what set of service are we tds providing? base on who standard? LTA? taxi coy? or individual standard.

e.g – service is also equal to have the knowledge of going from point A to B, by which route, using GPS? street directory? pax advice? or driver discreption?
