The Real Culprit? Today Questionable Fare Structure.

The Fare Structure need to revised as follows:

- Increase Flag down fare to x5 (means $15)

- Increase Surcharge to Double.

The Fare structure misled ppl that it is a mass transport which is readily available

at anytime , obviously is not.

With new fare structure, there will be no long queue, TD will take any ending destination, work less hour, more income, less accident etc.

The current Fare structure compromise Taxi professionalism since the income barely covers rental for 8 hrs on the road.

The current Fare structure favours Taxi operators by making it a mass transport and taking as much calls as possible which it cannot cope with the existing fleet size.

The current Fare structure makes the TD works extra hard comprising safety and does not promote family building and health lifestyle.

Hello brother, did you miss your medical appointment, as a TD, no need to think so far lah, why stress yourself, unless you are a big boss or some investors, then think further, TD, think here and there still hold steering, sweep, calls, pick n go, Q and wait, jam and paxs, TP and warden, Taxis companies and LTA..the same same old shit, maybe different in color only.

inflation or runaway inflation can be control by the govt.like some countries 1000% inflation,like a bowl of rice that can triple in price in a few days!whether that govt. is efficient or care enough to control inflation in the first place!

To solve this, we have to look at the root of the problem.

Firstly, taxi fares are not cheap. If you were to raise them suddenly to $15 flag down, less people or maybe even none will take taxis.

Next Taxi drivers are not rich. They have to work 5 to 6 hours just to cover the rental.

We are left with Taxi ciompanies. Are they rich? Can they afford to reduce the rental?

you can start by telling your 'ho tan' counterparts to

(1) STFU abt their trade hence inviting less competition

(2) not jump at every new cab offer & at any rental.

(3) mai hao lian , taxi nia, no big deal.

Then , maybe la hor , maybe rentals might not go up that much.

The more these people is around , u can forget about rentals going south .

Raising GST will not happen, because by raising it, govt will become the culprit of inflation and not the market force as they alway like to point toward it. It will be an unpopular decision to raise it, because from all aspect of a social economy plus politics, they will loose, and that is why you heard they said, "we will not raise Gst"

Rising the cost of goods is a more appropriate way for them, because as goods increase, Gst of 7% will also increase, you eat at restuarant of the same food, previous $60, now $80, out of 7% is already consider increased, so why need to increase Gst and be the one to be blame.

Inflation is an ecology of social economy, any increase in rental or fuel or interest or transportation and so on, the price of goods will increase, and when your paid or collection of fares remain the same, but prices of good including rental and all others goes up, inflation set in for you.

Just like coffee, a 10 cents increase can be nothing to many, but from the aspect of social economy ecology system, it will inflate many thing, and that start the wheel of increment moving in an alway upward trend.
