Is AJ that bad now?
Back then, the Arts stream people were more articulate, vocal &
fun whereas and usually,
the Sci Stream students more chinese-speaking. It's ok for me. I'm
effectively bilingual. I mixed with both types.
Back in 1989 when I was a student there,
there was a great deal of pride in sports where AJC consistently
came up tops , esp in track & field. The roars, the hollers,
the shouts, the AJ songs 9eg. we will rock u, the thumping of
chests!) forge a certain identity. of Course, and i dunno why, now
is nowhere near its former glory. And academic-wise, it is forever
stuck at 6th position in the rankings since 1986 actually.
Current AJC students, get yr principal to instil some sense of
esprit de corps among students and a sense of belonging should
follow. and 1 way is through sports.
the present AJC has nothing for me to shout abt... not in academic,
neither in sports.
Soon it will be relegated to a JC worse than any we have in
s'pore.
Print this & show yr principal and ask her to pull her socks...
or her panties for that matter!
