Somehow, this, I have to agree with chief. For taxis driver, GPS
is a training tool, over a period of time, it should become more of
a locator which smartphone can also do it, thereafter, it is not
much of a use.
Adults learn by practical and reality, they do not learn thru
classroom and guide, that is why adults education involve lots of
practical real stuff, Newbies should take every trip as a learning
journey, and in learning, we must be ready to face the music
and learn from it.
Most of us learned the hard way without GPS, not the mention
smartphone that do not exist during our times, maybe only a
streetdirectory. Therefore, we become very flexible with routes and
demand from pax. Take for example, with GPS, you already plotted
out a road , then all of the sudden pax said, go by another road,
and you got a brain stuck there, but for most of us who do not
depend on GPS will not be a problem, we can even think of the road
the pax is thinking. And once you reach that stage, you can drive
very relaxing and when you are relaxing, you get less stress, less
fatigue and more happy.
