TD is unlike a worker who can ali baba sit one side and do not have to care what the fark the whole world is going, TD are different, we are constantly exposing ourselve to the public and the govt, even if you hide one side, also got complain TDs idling and waiting for peak hours etc etc.

Therefore, what ever action and speeches you make with paxs or companies or govt body, becareful, among TDs, you can TCSS, but to them, it mean alot, and like a contagious dieases, it can spread like fire.

Ok Guys…I m really puzzled that why taxi`s and Td `s are no 1 matter in Sg..Almost every week news about TD.. What all those news try to hint at ? I drive long hrs and got spine problem , life has been miserable… who is earning more td or taxi companies ? I m also thinking that some of the writer has problem with td`s..

even if td s are earning 3 k..do we have cpf? medisave ? Mc? we have no luxury to not to drive unless our health has problem…

WHy try to portray TD must be low income screwed “self employed” and must whack if they earn beyond their limit(whoever and how they limit has been set in ppl mind don’t understand also)

Even if we earn let say 20k a month why does it bother to others?

we never question to other ppl income..why do they have ours?

For the God`s sake ..come and drive 5 days min 12 hrs and come and talk here..

Is there any good soul out there can write about real life and real issues about the td and publish once a month in the newspaper?

The figures show in their system don't bull shit.

How much a CDG drivers clock per day per shift is within their finger tips.

That's beside the point, we as a TU know what's going on presently.

How long we going to drive per day is not a concern to CDG, they lease you the taxi in 24/7 basis, they allow you to have relief and you operate this machine at your own capacity.

Whether it become a earning machine or losing machine, you can't probably blame on them right?

Why TD recently always on limelight? We had to ask ourselves, what kind of behavious we showing to the commuters. Slapping? Refuse to carry luggages? Interviewing? Choose location? Reject calls? All already listed inside this forums.

If you are free, maybe you can surf the forum created by foreign expat or local forum, read their comment, than maybe you will understand more. Just like sgforum, they even had a sub forum call "taxi"....

This are all lies . Nothing much have changed to me after the price revision. I still drive

fewer hours and get the same collection. I dun need to listen to Comfuk. They make $746

million in the financial year 2011 and still this is not enuff. Wait till they changed the whole

fleet of crown. Rental jump from $81 to $120. That is a lot of monies to be made. They let

their drivers to do the job. Rental from their taxi fleet, cashless transactions, advertising ,

diesel, accident claim and call bookings contribute to their income. See what I mean.

One old friend told me he is happy 6.15am started , 3.35pm last pax , end day ever clocked $300 including ERP .

Press meter doesn't mean always got fare. For example I ferry my brother all the time but press the meter, because if accident, insurance only covers paying pax ie: with the meter on.

My brother is the one who insist to on meter for that purpose, of course I won't charge him. Sometimes my own stuff also press meter because my taxi MDT is the old one, if engine off, auto become green again despite switched off with busy, so I sometimes just on the meter.

In our MDT, once you press meter, there's this 'private transfer', you can key in any amount you want, normally is for your regular clients who don't go by meter.

As for your family, just key in 0.01, is a must to on meter whenever there's passenger on board regardless of relationship.

BULLSHIT!!! My average income went down compare to 6 months ago. Fare went up no use because no paxs!! Last time I pick up 20+ pax a night, now only ~10. Sad

See big fellas are working very hard to see both px get cab they wanted and TD earning increases bravo great job! well done, so long as everybody is happy lor.

Px complaint cannot get taxi, call the hot line also cannot get through. Operators too busy answering calls. But my cab have no calls on Sat and fews on Sunday Can't remember how many but I know is less than 5.

I personally tried calling the hot line to convince myself true indeed no one pick up the call and put on hold for more than 15 mins????

Business so good untill like dats. haha oh yes they have forgotten to report number of calls increases and dat mean $2.30 non peak and $3.30 peak hour the TD can enjoy lah.

TD was never a lucrative business, everybody knows about it.

But we enjoy equal status in this tough society. A cabby's daughter was awarded bursary to pursue in Law, ST reported yesterday. Nobody deny us to earn a decent living. Statistic is mean to please 'big fellas'? Be it.

These days is tough to ply on the road, for me, I had my easy ways out, why must do 20 trips if you can get the same amount return at 10 trips. Unless you telling us that 20 trips generate double of your income which I don't think it works that ways.

The reports generate by CDG, and I don't think they had any cng taxi in their fleet, so no comment for cng.

2. And since not making and lost, the govt is going for another adjustment?

So, of course they will report gain, but who gain from it, you and I should know better.

Long long before the fare adjustment, govt already told you, this is a fare adjustment to reflect the real cost of operating. Read properly, fare adjustment, not fare hike ok.

And the cost of operating meaning their cost, not you or me, the poor TD
