Bingjames, if ur hirer tells u to "fuckoff" on xmas eve, he stinks. Super taiko. If u can help it, just throw key after u handover on xmas eve. No need to warn, let him feel stunned. Find another hirer. If u cannot afford to stop driving, and your family depends on u to bring in all the bacon, then u must become hirer asap. There r many taiko hirers out there who will exploit relief who r desperate for taxi income n who have no choice but to agree to all the hirers demands.

I am ok when he want me to rest one day so he can drive full day the whole day.

what I not ok is he insist I must take over him from 12 noon the next day, cos he would be too tired to drive on Sunday.

Got to pay him $20 to start at noon, but by sunday already no ppl, still want me to drive 17 hours.

If I were u, I'll throw key liao! If cannot afford to, start looking for new hirer n when get new hirer, leave key in cab on last day n tell him u want to rest 1 yr.

Must be gentleman n stick to agreement. He's yr partner not yr boss u know. Any unusual arrangements must be discussed n mutually agreed upon, not boom times ask u to rest n lull periods must drive.

Btw, I'm a hirer but was a night relief for 2+ yrs.

This is smart hirer. He knows the importance of taking care of relief. Kenna taiko pax sian liao, somemore kena taiko hirer. Its terrible.

Mercedes cab's hirers used to act big shot.... especially the Soverign dayz.... (only about 400 units on the road back in 2004).

If you ever drive for those "fuckers", you really cursed and sweared. I drove for 1 such idiot for 6 months before throwing key onto his Fu*k Face.... .

Eat shift-changing time, eat diesel, eat my cash card.... eat this... eat that... worst is "come my carpark and take cab - no fetch & send.. PHUI.... (Bro BCL fetched my home a few times, on charity )......

Now you have many to choose from.... don't worry Bingjames....

After CNY.... Relief is the KING.

Maybe you are NEW BIRD.... Hirer taking you for granted.

what's holding me back from throwing key is maybe he not that bad la

been in this business for 2 weeks liao, still no need to pump diesel, he settle for me.

see so many ppl at petrol kiosk washing car but I no need, just pay him $4, he do it.

but I suspect $4 abit high and sometimes he never wash, but who cares.

Reason I compromise cos my thinking he daytime no surcharges, he might earn little, so pity him la. but dunno if it's true. Maybe day shift driver can PM me some advise.

But I noticed for the same 12 hours shift, he always clocked more than me, 500+ compared to mine 300+, only only 400 on Christmas eve.

But what I really not shiok is he after earning so much for the night still want me to cover him $20, this type money also "kan bu kai". He take away all the meat and now want me to sweep 17 hours with all the bones left on the streets.

Same for Chrysler hirers. They also behave like big fuck. Dared to show me black face when I return car exactly on the dot. 4pm supposed to pass to him, he said no no, must pass to him at 3.45pm. He said makes big difference. Throw key lor. He think I no chrysler will starve. I think he was also very upset because as a day shift chrysler cabby, I always made more than him for his night shift driving. Everyday I showed him my total collections. Made the taiko chrysler hirer dulan before I throw key.

My location only got taiko hirers, or those with ECA, ie take black car for personal business errands only. Good sampan hirers yes, but very few to zero mercedes or chrysler or maxi hirers. I was forced to OMO, turned out to be the best decision. No more relief driving for me. OMO works best for me.

Correct.... Maxi = normally OMO drivers. can service your regulars or AP return trips personally.

Got many Maxi friends. Also many jump to Toyota Hirace Hi-roof (especially the pioneers.. some got their VL cutted... bo pian ).

Not many hirers around my area too. So, if can "looooon", just "loooon" lor.
