I like this news. Its a good move on Comfort should they decide
to install video cameras on all their cabs. Helps to save on buying
those gadgets ourselves. Helps in terms of insurance claims
too.
Anyway no worries on privacy. All IT gadgets can be removed.
Like when I dont want comfort to know my location, just unplug
the GPS cable.
If I totally dont want the MDT, just remove the MDT power cable,
or just unplug the GPRS cable.
Everything is under my control, except the meter price which I
cannot suka suka adjust.
Passenger privacy was never an issue with regards to in vehicle
video cam. I have been using a videocam capable of BOTH in-vehicle
and out-of-vehicle recording for the past year. Never had a
passenger complain before. Young, old, handsome, beautiful. None
could care less. If they asked, I told them it records everything
inside and outside the cab, including their conversations.
Everything gets over-written in 18 hours. Nobody ever
complained.
I sent my cab to Sin Ming workshop with the videocam running. No
complains.
I asked the Sin Ming workshop to fucking install my videocam. No
complains.
What the other cabbies are saying about company termination with
regards to this gadget is complete rubbish.
Bro , I bet you never unplug your cable when you are driving for
comfort, or have you ever driven for comfort ??
Warning to other comfort TDs : unpluging the cable will
cause your top led to display red color "out of order"
And you need to go Soon Heng to reset
