Need some help on hit and run issue with a Comfort Taxi

Hi all,

Hope I can get some help here, and guide me what I can do for this issue.

Yesterday morning, my friend met an inccident with a comfort taxi.

According to her, the taxi made an illegal U-turn and hit the left side of her car badly. But instead of stopping the car, the taxi driver sped off immediately and she couldnt manage to get the car plate number.

1) If we call up and make a complain to Comfort Delgro, will they be able to compensate my friend's car damaged, even thou we can produce the taxi plate number ??

2) What are the necessary information we need to provide when we make our complain ?

3) If my friend decided to repair the car first, will Comfort Delgro still be able to access the damage based of the picture of the damage car and pay accordingly??

Yes , u have to give details of date of event , time of event , junction of event .

they can track that vehicle down with the GPS positioning .

The best is you give details like what brand was it ? A Hyundai or a Toyota Crown ?

There is only 2 brands they using now .

If u can provide details like what advertisements they had ? Roof Top advertisement if there is any , will be even more helpful .

So they can track down the vehicle and sent in for inspection for suspected damages .

If ur complaint are valid , Comfort will compensate accordingly .

Pls make a police report before proceeding to Comfort at Sin Ming .

That Police report will be good enuf for them to take further actions for investigations .

They have specific IO to deal with that sort of complaints .

Hit & Run is a serious offense .

Traffic Police take it very seriously .

it doesn't matter whether illegal ot not illegal ... if two vehicles involve in an accident , both of them must stop and take down each other's detail for insurance purposes .

Hit N Run is never right in my opinion .

Whether who is right who is wrong , let the tribunal decides verdict .

1. make a police report without delay

2. lodge a report with your insurance company after you police report is done

remember, timing of the accident is very important, do not agar agar cos it will be very difficult for comfort to track especially you mentioned morning and many comfort sonanta maybe passing by. other poolman has mentioned so do take note carefully

3. if you wish to make claim, unless comfort has identify the taxi involve. do not proceed to repair.

4 but you if wish to repair your own first for any reason, you can only do it by claiming your own insurance and recover from Comfort later should the vehicle be found

if not you may end up paying your excess and lose you NCD

Hit & Run incidents are very serious matter. Should report to authority 1st.... & IMMEDIATELY.

The authority will then authorise the respective taxi companies to do their investigations. The said TD may cover up by not reporting to the office. Hence not easy to track him down. (Just hope that the TD did logon into his/her GPRS).

For sweeping lah. Then when pax ask for nets or CCards, said mdt spoilt. Lan lan paid cash. Brother, like you use to say, cumfuck sometime on call send you to meet the wall, now shows or someone took the pax before you reach. Once is ok, kenna twice, what you think?? many of them get fedup, off the fucking mdt once and for all. Lucky my temper now reduce alot, if abit younger, whack the mdt.

Yes, hit and run, no mercy from authority, the sentences even cover jail term if convicted provided that there is evidence there is injuries, any kind, even shock is consider one of them.
