TS you said long story short. I think this case is serious enough you should tell the whole long story.

for me, if the other party gets physical with me, my pax or my car, then i will go all the way, he deserve it.

but if its just argument and you went this far, then yes, you seems a bit too much. you practically destroyed his last rice bowl.

but at least you could have save his and others lifes. this thing is like the old army war story. would you saw off a man’s legs to save his life?

Actually the confrontation got nothing to do with him drunk driving. Just that during confrontation I know he is drunk. From his behaviour and action. He is clearly unable to control his vehicle. Even if he off duty I doubt he will be able to drive home.

I think the crucial part is... did you warn him about his behavior and that you'll call police/TP if he continue such behavior?

If you never warn him then you never give him chance, then you're not just punishing him, but his family also. I don't want to judge you because what's done cannot be undone, but in the future, it's always nice to forgive and forget.

If you did warn him and his attitude is like, "go ahead call police lah i scared ah..."... then this kind of people deserves to be reported and go jail...

I believe in giving people chances and for them to repent but if their attitude doesn't seems like the type to repent, then it make sense for them to repent through the hard way...

Ya that is exactly what happen. I ask him to park his taxi one side and go home in another cab. He dun listen then I tell him I call the police and that is almost exactly what he said! " Call police lah I not scared!" So I call loh.

BTW I seen alot already. TD drive and drive after shift. Is it because police road block usually they dun stop taxi? So far I encounter so many road block with or without pax they dun stop me. Why ah?

Actually what happened in the confrontation that make me hot is the other TD is of other race. He KNN me about "curry" incident because I am chinese. But that is a different type of chinese I told him. I myself love curry especially his race. I am a regular patrons of Sammi's, Muthu's curry and I will be so happy if my neighbour were to cook them everyday. So what my ancestor is from China? Knn right? But understand he is veru drunk liao so anyhow talk rubbish. But again as I said there is no hidden agenda and calling the police if not I want to revenge or he taunt me to do so. Just that I really cannot stand people who drink and drive. Very irresponsible. Period...

No use one. Must on the spot catch then go use. Even the TP come they also need me to witness him driving the cab before they arrest him as they only can charge him if they see him drive the taxi or me as witness him drive the taxi before that.

We already have a lot of irresponsible road menances on the road driving dangerously and we don't need a drunk driver on the road.

If he ends up dead or worse case handicap, he can forget about getting any other job besides being a TD.

TS:i support you , although i not TD , but you as a man did the right thing. if he drink driving and got into a accident not only he will die but maybe the pax or other driver will die innocently because of his drink driving , not only he have a family , but others also have a family , its just like not only he got parents , other ppl also got parents.

I supported yr action. Imagine we have a drunk bus driver, a half drunk MRT train driver, a not so drunk SIA pilot.... what may happen huh?

One simple thing "Drink Drinking" can implicate to words like: intoxicated, influence, excess alcohol level, judgement, physical control, abuse, ability impaired, jurisdictions, etc....scary right? Laywers love these words!

The worse of the lot is the word: "Endanger"..

No matter how, by law drink driving is an offence. If no law, who is going to protect the innocents people out there. The population here is getting bigger and bigger, if each one of us here don’t obeys the law, it will becomes a rojak city. The richer will do what ever they can to break the law, the poorer may commit crimes in order to overcome their problems. This is the things we hope might not happen in future. I will do the same thing like U, call police. illegal Parking obstructing traffic, I will call police too. Now I got in car camera, any irresponsible driver I will stand up for witness, even U r a Taxi driver. I mean it. Bro well done.

eh hello, i am talking about giving others the chance an opportunity to repent, if they willing, we should forgive them... you talking like drink/drink=100% kill people, but we know majority don't even get into accidents, much less injure someone, even tinier percentage managed to kill anyone. come on lah, even some sober drivers get into accidents. if someone's car accidently brush against me in the car park, then he come out and i know he abit drunk, i will let him off if he really apologetic and won't commit such stupidity again...i won't let him off if he kill someone (obviously duh!). but you're talking like you will call police and jail them no matter what happens, even if he parking car safely. maybe we're different, i believe in giving others the opportunity to change for the better especially if the problem is minor... you don't give chance even if no accidents happen, different thinking.

If he like that that boh bian lah, even i also confirm call police... because if we never call they think we play play... last time also got 1 case i say if he continue like that i call police then he tell me, "wah i scared ah shaking pants now"... i immediately call police.
