last fri nite, i sent one pax from eunos to bt panjang, after alighting, as usual, i park at carpark relaxing, half an hour to go before 8pm... dan i was thi...

I guessed we must often try to take those route that pax is familiar with. They usually know the 'normal' routes only unless they are regular taxi pax.

To me, come out fm Cairnhill Crest, straight into ERP to Grange, Orc Blvd and Napier.

Ask the pax which route they prefer first, then make your recommedation, if they said go their way, so be it, even tho i so much wanted to go my way, but end of the day, who paid the bill? if kenna jam or longer distance, at least not my problem. Then, if they said, dunno, just get us there on the shortest route, then take your pick depending on the condition and time. Best is they said turn left your turn left, turn right, you turn right, no need so much headache.

I will go left , u-turn to Scotts > Orchard Boulevard > Napier Road .

No need Cascauden Road unless Far East Plaza side massive jam .

My explanation was that "Orchard Road jam today" .

Caused Cairnhill Road to be also hold up .

Grange Road also jam due to GSS at Takashimaya . Ion Orchards also jam due to GSS also ...

When GSS , it's best to avoid those Orchard boundaries .

One thing I don’t understand. Since already on Grange road, why need to go via Orchard Boulevard? Grange road all the way straight, already Napier road, right? Is this route longer?

I think, sometimes, to us is longer, but route is familiar to pax.

Because if it is on a Friday or Saturday , if Orchard Road jammed from Lucky Plaza , then Cairnhill Road will be hold up even from Cairnhill Crest .

Jam is no no no good for cabbies . Pax's heart also can pop out !

U have got no idea one Grange Road junction can caused you 10 minutes or more jam .

Of course if 12mn , no problem , Grange Road all the way .

Like last Friday , Penang Road from Park Lane to Grange Road massive jam .

Also once u cleared Grange Road , expect outside Ion Orchard jam .

Clear Ion , then u can smell Dempsey .

Only a bit of waiting at end of Orchard Boulevard due to traffic lights .

Thanks to KPE , we can encourage them to use Airport Road > KPE , exit Buangkok .

Then Sengkang .

That Hougang phui imitation one , he stay 20 years Boon Lay .

So he cannot make it one .

So it's Siglap > Changi Road > Still Road > Eunos Link > Airport Road > KPE Tunnel > Buangkok exit ...... then whichever Seng u want .

If pax say too far , tell him take receipt , go LTA complaint , u can entertain anytime .

If u go by Hougang Phui's route , prepare to drink coffee .

He is trying to ask alternative shortest route besides the Grange Road go straight .
