I read in other forums, people boasting TD can easily make more
than $5,000 a month.
I am afraid to say some TDs have shit for brains.
Taxi driving is a low barrier to entry trade, with just a class
3 license and a pink IC , anyone can be a TD . When u go around
boasting that u make $5k , who is going to suffer? Taxi Cos raise
rentals , uh oh ho seh liao , kena farked in the ass hard.
Very good example are the chrysler drivers , went around telling
people that they make wad? 6k? 7k? How true we dunno but truth is
SMRT hiked their rentals to $160 per day. Smart? i Would call it
very stupid.
And now its the Maxi cab's drivers turn and then slowly it will
filter down to the Mercs and then the normal cabs. And for maxi
cabs now , the condition is that the deposit is raised to 2k + 2
years contract. Shooting one's own foot?
TD's earnings are very subjective , one can make 3k , another
can only make $1.5k ( example would be me).
I always say and will say , keep a low profile is the best.
