I like to follow SecCom's attire. Short sleeve casual collared shirt, long pants but not too tight fitting, leather shoes, very short haircut to resist pulls by aggressor, no ornaments, no body piercings and always ready to hunt a fare cheat or robber down. Slippers are out. Do your morning runs and keep a workout routine. SecCom SOs are trained in close quarter, unarmed combat and protective driving tactics. Just like TDs, the SOs are usually not armed, but they have counter assault teams at a distance, ready to snipe (which TDs dont have), with counter surveillance teams providing warning over their tactical radio sets, just like our radio taxi operators.

So far , this pair is by far the best shoe i wore for driving a cab .

Well , not this exact model , similiar .

Puma Suede ... cost me $29 that time , now rocketed to as much as $70 for a more inferior quality at Mustapha .

Poolman SG

Another reliable one ... last me almost 15 years , this pair of shoe , i have got 2 pairs , since 21-years old .

Yes Dr Martens .

1996 ? Cost me $130 per pair .

Now ? Same price .

So far the most durable pair of shoes i ever wore driving a cab . Besides that Puma Suede .

What's so special about Dr Martens ?

Your feets will never get smelly !!!

And the sole , anti-slip . And inside the sole , comfortable , especially season liao .

Only after 10 years , the leather start to give way to wear and tear .

for me , i wear either sandals or shoes that can slip on. I am used to driving without footwear , sounds like char bor right? But guys u all should try , i feel personally it gives me better feel and control of the accelerator and brakes . Try it!

Anyway , my opinion is all TDs should wear flip flops , jeans & t-shirt la. What long pants? shoes? long sleeve?? and worse Tie????

The other day i made a pax laff until she beh tahan. i told her i quitted merc cab coz must wear long sleeve and then for coporate jobs need to wear tie. I ask her imagine miss, taxi driver wear tie??? joke or not? hahaha .
