After driving for 2.5 mths, my body begin to show some symptoms
which makes me worry.
Initially, it developed thigh numbness (prolong sitting), bit of
back pain (carry heavy lugg), giddiness (prolong driving
concentration), a small area of sharp poking pain on the left leg
area (prolong sitting), etc.
So I decided to limit the time of driving, frequency of stops,
exercises regime which helps to alleviate the situation.
I heard one cabby said his friend got kidney failure resulted
partial blindness becos of driving long hours... scary hor?
Any here care to share some tips, remedy, precautions on prolong
driving? My water cushion dun seems to help my buttock leh..
This are call occupational hazards under the safety and health
working. Not that TD are the having such hazards, every trades and
occupation have hazards, bus drivers or any other driver also
suffer like us, even an office executive can end up with stress,
finger numbness and eye deterioriating due to prolong sitting in
office with computer. A machine operator can end up with leg
stiffness due to long hours standing, and for those construction
and shipyard workers, more worst, they call it 3D work, dangerous,
demanding and dirty. So, dear all, not to worry, every occupation
have their own hazards that can make our life difficult and full of
sickness.
As most TDs are in their middle age, not young anymore, some
illness are actually arises from your young time chiong
period, so for now, try not to smoke, try to eat
wisely (go for more veges), exercise regularly (3x per week), drink
more (at least 11 glass of water per day), no more than 3 cups of
coffee per day, and stop taking energy drink if possible, as
for sex, its a man need, but seek proper doctor advises before
taking those blue pills legally or illegally. All this
call for discipline in one own life. If you lack of good habits and
practices, then it is difficult to say that you can go on being
healthy. And this apply to all kinds of occupation, not only
TDs.
A typical illness can wipe out an entire life saving, that is
the cost of medication now a day. Life is in your hand, make your
choices.
