at airport pickup queue, a guy and gal (both mid twenties, looks
classy and educated) came over..both looking elsewhere but dont
want look at me, i thought they tao. the gal quickly jump into back
seat, the guy like wan to quickly load into boot, but i help him.
then he got in.
he like dont want to give destination, just only
directions..then 2 immediate left turns out of airport compound
later, reach liao!
after i stopped and read the fare, the gal jumped out so fast
out of the cab i didnt even hear the door open and close..the guy
like paiseh, paid up and mumbled he will collect from boot himself
but i still got out to help him, then we bade each other
goodbyes..i nowhere to go so i thought go back airport la..
then the next fare is $8.80 (before $3 surcharge)!
this next fellow (late thirties/early forties, slim, also quite
classy dressing and look) lots of branded luggage, also dont want
to look at me, kept his head high, but i helped him load into boot.
he kept quiet. then when he got in, he said very quickly Mandarin
Gardens, exit Bedok. then kept very quiet very still look out of
window. i worried i hear wrong so i gently asked again, he like
irritated, said louder this time. Mandarin Gardens. Exit Bedok. i
said oh ok, go by ECP.
when we reached. the guy wanted to go by resident entry, but the
guard refused to lift the barrier. the guard insisted we reverse
back onto road, then enter by visitor entry. the guy was really
pissed becos i think he wanted to quickly go back.
when alighting that time, he paid in dollar notes..then waited
for my change, i was digging becos i couldnt find the 20
cents..then he quickly asked for receipt (after i return him the
exact change). then again quickly kept, got out go to boot unload.
i also got out to help him, then he quickly went back into the
lobby without goodbyes.
the first ride i waited 45min. this second ride i waited 90min.
