Taxi company blacklists my number without telling me

STOMPer UnCOMFORTable was appalled that his number was 'blacklisted' by Comfort DelGro without being informed about it. He also wonders why people are blacklisted for cancelling bookings when a cancelling option is made available.

The STOMPer said in an email:

"I've been calling the Comfort hotline for cabs recently - on about seven different days, seven different times and at different places - and they would just tell me that 'taxis in the area are busy' after about 10 seconds and hang up.

"I received the same reply for those seven times.

"I realised that this happened right after Comfort called me recently to ask me why I had made several cancellations to my bookings (I used to take cabs to work every day).

"The same thing happened this morning (March 19), so I called Comfort's customer service and managed to get the office to admit that they do have some kind of policy to place customers who often make cancellations on a 'lower priority' (I interpret that as blacklisting).

"I don't know how she defines 'often', because I'm a frequent cab user, but I wonder why are they blacklisting customers for cancelling when a cancelling option is available.

"What's worse is that they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me.

"I've been wasting my time and money calling them, all the while clueless that I was blacklisted.

"It's fine if they want to blacklist my number, but they should have been frank with me instead of blatantly lying that all the taxis in the areas I called from were busy.

"That's terrible customer service and very unprofessional.

"I think it's unfair to judge customers based on their bookings or booking cancellations because even when I don't make bookings, I still use the services of many Comfort cabs."

I support Comfort on this. What stupid excuse he give. Got cancel option so just song song press lor. So if he can song song cancel booking, why the taxi company cannot happy happy tell him the TD very bo eng? Tidak salah correct? In fact this kind of pax must ban one. Complain to Comfort not enough, still must complain to Stomp. KNNCCB pax.

If i am the Taxi Co. PR or Corporate Communications pple, i need to realise this complaint came about, NOT because the Taxi Co. "Lower Priority" policy, but because of the mistake of ADMITTING it exists.

i think this idiot stomper must be those type who call for cab, then cancel when cab just about to arrive. then can just hail the cab, no need to pay booking fee. cheapskate. i kena a few times this type liao. stop a few meters in front of them, put BUSY then slowly drive past them. want to take my cab this method TKK.

For me I won't pickup anybody if the "Call" is cancelled or "Noshow". I will not help to shorten the queue. I don't play this game. When pax approach me, I'll ask "are u willing to pay for the booking fee". If no, I will go to another location. Interesting, some cabbies like to play this game. Their will say , since I'm already there why not.

If call cancelled at Tuas, wait outside the place for that cheapskate to come out. Maybe he think he can save the booking fee when he see the taxi outside. As he walk closer, move off and let him smell diesel. Make sure you step on the accelerator real hard.

Got once i kenna tuas south booking, reach there call the pax, saw the pax walking out from far when i call her. Saw her pick up the phone but never pick up the call, then later my booking cancelled. Damnn du lan. I wait there. She come ask me can pick her. i say NO NO NO, i am on call. She cannot say she cancel the call mah. So i waited together with her for about 15 min let her smell my diesel. She call the booking centre to book the cab again. I know mah same number cbb. I parking right beside her oso dub take the job. 15 min later i drove off she stop me as why i rather go off than to take her. I told her knn i dun take cheapo one, i rather wait 15 min, waste my fuel and see her angry face than to pick her up. CBB this kind of cheapo oso have. Knn TD got pride one u know.
