Again can ask to make this into a Sticky?
Yesterday alone, I pick up 2 different passengers between 5-8pm
in that vicinity. One is near a bus stop along Cantonment Link (at
the side of Keppel Tower). Another also near a bus stop along Upper
Pickering Street leading towards 1 George Street (on the left) and
the Great Eastern Building (on the right).
When they boarded, I make sure they should clearly see I pressed
the City Charge in front of them. But they didnt say anything. They
then insist I cut in left here, cut right there, then hurry
somemore for the fastest shortest route.
But when I reach their destination, I notice they already
prepare the payment exactly to hand over and then get ready to
alight quickly..but MINUS the City Charge. Which when I asked, they
claimed, where got? no have, they shouldnt pay because they are on
different road what. No choice, couldnt talk for long, because both
times, where they alighted, there happened to be cars behind.
Later on when I thought back on it, I wondered why other cabs
didnt pick them up earlier from where they stood, before me. Is it
because...?
Thats why here, I would like to ask for help if we could draw or
outline the parameter of the City Charge clearly, both for our own
as well as our future passengers reference. Thank you very
