i work as popcorn seller(yishun 10), cloth saleman, bread vansale, delivery man cum sale so many other job i even ever work in jackpot room and get caught 2 time. Never feel so good like this, freedom..income..everything just since so good now..just prey for safety soon soon...hope very kaki also safety and soon soon...

In my entire life as a cabby , TCL is the only one that condemn himself being a taxi driver .

I kept wondering what is his motivation that make him drive so long ?

He drove longer than me .

My motivation is exactly what Piggy's motivation ... Oops sorry , so natural to call him Piggy .

Anyway , Piggy , i'm glad to chose a job that make you really happy .

Then u know why your dad can make you so big size ? Thanks to being a cabby .

If he was a Salesman , i guess u should be half the size or smaller .

Yes yes yes...but sometime really tabole tahang...anyway i enjoy driving ard tcss with pax listen to them kon wu kon bo..and i also kon wu kon bo to them...hahaha...sometime i make up story let them listen...

Night shift i feel mostly they after work all sit in the cab very quite that i like most, only those abit high drink alot but not drunk that type dam lo sooo....

I set myself $200 everyday..i believe rest more then can fight another day...

got passed TVL test waiting from LTA.

Intended to drive omo 0600am-1200pm , rest 3 hours in office then drive again from 3.30pm to 10pm. how much can i make per day?

Hi Vegie,

All of wat poolman & navyseal mentioned. Plus are u ready? If you are driving for pocket money than no problem. If u got a young family to support is tough.

Ask yourself how many hours can u drive in a day,.. continue for 6 days in a row. Assuming you off on sunday.Can your body take it. How much can you earn come later. Money everywhere no need to worry..

Try to speak to more TD. There are lot of friendly n helpful cabbies around..

Do know many will be tempted to sign up as hirer to claim back the course fee.

thanks with the replies. i m actually not prepared mentally. anyway i m 39 yrs old and intend to drive mon to sat, rest on sunday.

have done some delivery jobs..so i familar abt 60% of singapore roads. but looks like FT is doing ok as new bird, i guess shd be fine wif me lor.

all the skills mentioned i believe aquire from experiences...in fact my eldest brother is also taxi driver , driving 3 days from citycab complain nt easy to make $$ nowadays advise me drive short-term try 1st.

Actually just follow by friend to take up TVL, he doing van salesman selling drinks earning abt 1.4 to 1.5k, somemore need to pay room rental...complaining money nt enough lor. he kbkb failed on TVL test on sect 2 by oni 2 marks, hv to wait 3 weeks for retest.

I am aiming abt $80 - 100 per day after expense and rental.....total of 12 hrs driving...

is it possible? kamsia for the advise...

If you only wish to make $80-$100 per day after expense i think no need OMO so siong, relief night shift can make more then $100 liao. Even i work vansale for about 8 years when come to drive taxi i still donno any road. Totaly not the same. Like tonight i start at 4pm rch home 12.30am (after pump and wash taxi) i pocket $$$ liao..hahaha...cannot say wait pple say i how lian....hahaha...

I love to drive ard love to be free that's y TD suit me best. After NS i work as sushi cook earn ard 2k but i just hate the job, so boring everyday doing the same thing over n over again.

As for TCL he say he hate driving taxi but what make him go to work wo??? If i hate a job i just don't feel like going working. I will gain MC. But now i can drive 7 days a week. Nv think of taking MC..hahaha...MC mean no pay...anyway end of the day sit inside taxi count money what hate also foget liao...
