Award-winning lighting design consultancy Light Cibles continue to
light up retail spaces, providing contemporary designs solutions to
shopping malls
SINGAPORE, May 30,
2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- As Changi City Point roars to
life, adding more colour to Changi South, lighting design
consultancy Light Cibles, headquartered inSingapore, is proud to announce the completion of the
lighting facilities and design of the mall.
Furthering its mission to provide versatile design in lighting
design and architecture, Light Cibles was the appointed lighting
partner for Changi City Point, which is a joint development by
Ascendas Land (Singapore) and Frasers
Centrepoint. The Changi City Point project is the third retail
lighting project that Light Cibles has completed in
the Singapore market, after Orchard
Central and Maxime Galleria, Resorts World Sentosa, which were
completed in 2009. Other prime local developments that Light Cibles
has lit were the Esplanade Theatres by the Bay and the Fullerton
Bay Hotel.
"We are proud to announce the completion of the Changi City Point
lighting project as the launch of the mall itself was anticipated
by many. This project is a significant testament to our commitment
in lighting up retail spaces as we move towards illuminating more
retail developments such as shopping malls and leisure hubs,"
says Emmanuel Clair, Group CEO of Light
Cibles.
The lighting design employs sustainable, organic architecture
principles, combining metal halide downlights with fluorescent
lights and LED lighting to achieve the intended illuminance level
and an average of 8 watts/m2.
"Developers are often keen on sustainable designs these days, and
the lighting of the retails spaces need to be planned out carefully
as it combines both electricity usage consideration as well as
factors to attract visitors to the mall. This involves a well
thought-out blueprint to the lighting of these retail spaces that
will meet the expectations of developers, retailers and visitors in
general," Clair continued.
Light Cibles is acclaimed for its expertise in architectural
lighting design. Most recently, the firm lit a number
of Singapore landmarks during the
Formula One Grand Prix Race in Singapore. The company was engaged by the Singapore
Tourism Board (STB) and the Singapore Grand Prix to illuminate 10
of Singapore's most iconic
structures along the Night Race circuit, which include the Flower
Dome at Gardens by the Bay, the Old Supreme Court, National Art
Gallery, Victoria Concert Hall, the Esplanade, the Civilian War
