Yio Chu Kang SMC

Singapore Democratic Party (SDP)

Bukit Panjang SMC
Holland-Bukit Timah GRC(LET'S HOPE!!!)

Socialist Front (SF)

At least 2 SMCs

Maybe there could be a number of new SMCs along, maybe could be added up to a total of 88 seats up for grabs....2011-12's elections will be proved to be high-key!!!Let's hope they're getting ready to rumble up,trying their very best to oust the PAP.....
Absolute facts....
If Chiam joins RP,Bishan-Toa Payoh may be right under the RP with Kenneth J.and himself as key men into da team, against DPM Wong.....
Dr Chee's team is up for the ultimate showdown in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC,adjoining SDP's number one constituency target:Bukit Panjang....SDP's image is getting much greater and fabulous, attracting the younger generation for a change....
NSP had been recently seen in Ang Mo Kio,as it is situated nearby the nearest,Yio Chu Kang....Could Ang Mo Kio GRC be the next target, after Marine Parade,Jurong,Jalan Besar and Tampines GRCs,as WP had also plans on it???
Reform Party confirms to attack Hong Kah,West Coast and Tanjong Pagar GRCs and also Chua Chu Kang too,as well as Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC only if Chiam joins it,changing from the SPP,or could SDA conjoins or eventually contest in the GRC nearby Potong Pasir??Holland-Bukit Timah GRC is also targetted by the party, however SDP has an absolute chance to grab it,since it is near to Bukit Panjang..........
Since WP has been targetting Sembawang since 2006,why don't it may be attacking the GRC as well, takes on Health Minister, after winning against the SDP???
Socialist Front had just developed, planning to contest in 2 SMCs,however either new or recent....Marine Parade GRC may be carved out in 2 or 3:Kaki Bukit/Mountbatten even Braddell Heights(Sin Kek Tong's much interested in the constituency should it had been seperated from the GRC)
Hmmmmm, let's hope, this election may be proved to become the hottest, sensational of all, will all the 88 seats or normal 84 will be up for grabs to all the oppositions against th ruling PAP..........

NSP's supporters and the NSP blow up at RP for copying NSP to contest in Tp . Ironically I don't see any confirmation on their website they are going to TP.

NSP no credibility.

Mr K SG

What's the prove that NSP wants to fight in Tanjong Pagar???Only RP may,as you can see people in yellow alongside Tanjong Pagar areas.......As for NSP,it says it may be contesting in Ang Mo Kio,Jalan Besar,Jurong,Marine Parade and Tampines GRCs.......I can see NSP's portal announcement recently.....
I also saw the SDP portal, announcing that it may be contesting in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC,as Bukit Panjang is nearest to it........However,RP had claimed this....Until now,it has not been resolved, but I do believe it may be a confirmation,or could it be???

How is the chance of 3 or multi-corner fights and ended up a failure of the oppositions in 2011?

How is the chance of 3 or multi-corner fights and ended up a failure of the oppositions in 2011?

In the past, just before nomination day, all opposition parties will come together and hold a meeting to discuss and confirm on the constituencies they will be contesting. They do know that 3 corners fight does not give any advantages to them.

Reform Party has been weakened significantly with the exodus of at least 20 members.

Do they still have sufficient capable candidates other than its secretary general KJ ?

trout SG

Ang Mo Kio and Tanjong Pagar GRC should be contested as well...

Most Singaporeans are sick and tired of Lee Kuan Yew asinine remarks on the media and Hsien Loong daft policy enriching his own family and friends.

Singaporeans should think wisely and look at the long term scenario for the future of their own and their children .....VOTE OPPOSITION!

GE: Kenneth Jeyaretnam eyeing Radin Mas SMC?
By Satish Cheney | Posted: 27 February 2011 1852 hrs

SINGAPORE: The Reform Party's secretary-general Kenneth Jeyaretnam said he may contest in a Single Member Constituency (SMC).

A party member and observers said it could be Radin Mas.

The Radin Mas ward is currently under the People's Action Party's Sam Tan, who is also Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts.

The Radin Mas area includes some parts of the former Anson constituency, which was won by the late opposition MP, J B Jeyaretnam in 1981.

His son, Kenneth Jeyaretnam of The Reform Party, is keen to tap on his father's association with the area.

The party was rocked recently by resignations and is in the mid of reorganising its Central Executive Committee.

"I'm getting a lot of requests from people who want to be members and people who would like to stand as candidates, so actually I've got more than I can deal with at the moment," Mr Jeyaretnam said.

The opposition parties are also in talks to avoid three-cornered fights.

"We hope that everyone will see sense and we'll be able reach an amicable agreement," Mr Jeyaretnam said.

He added that his party will field 13 candidates in two Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs) - West Coast and Chua Chu Kang, and three SMCs - Hong Kah North, Radin Mas and Pioneer.

Members of The Reform Party were out on walkabouts at some of the wards on Sunday.

Among them was 47-year-old Lim Tung Hee who previously contested as a Singapore Democratic Party member in 2001 and under the National Solidarity Party banner in 2006.

Mr Lim said he joined The Reform Party a few months ago.

The Reform Party was also joined by members of the Singapore People's Party, although its leader Chiam See Tong was not present. Party members said he was preparing for Monday's Budget Debate.

There is still speculation on the ground that the Singapore People's Party and The Reform Party may come together to contest a GRC in the upcoming elections.

However, as of now, there's been no clear indication from both sides.
