I think the problem was bad transport links in Yew Tee. Their MP was transport minister, yet he did jack-shit. His predecessor screwed the system in 1999, but somehow went on to become the head of the housing department later on.

The only thing that was done right was the extension of 307 to Teck Whye in 2001 like it used to be in the good old days when SBS only did buses and not subways. Other than that, bus links in CCK are not as good as HGN or SKG.

I doubt Yeo Cheow Tong was the one who "improved" 307.

307 is the only bus in Yew Tee, the only access to other buses is to take 307 to CCK interchange.

Around 2001 elections, the CCK SMC incumbent wanted to fight Steve Chia's debut. He extended it to ply Teck Whye first then Yew Tee. 307 was already super irregular, after this it could disappear for over half an hour. Yeo Cheow Tong allowed this.

Only after people complained, in May 2002 they made it ply Yew Tee first.

If SBS still in charge in NW side CCK Way outside Kranji camps confirm will have more buses plying. Maybe 365 extended to CCK St 62 via CCK Way (Kranji camp) plying opposite of 307?
