Are Civil Service/Stats Boards public officers scare to vote for
the Opps (in their hearts/ minds), although their hands write a
cross on the lightning bolt for fear of their
jobs?
Are Singapore Citizens scare to vote for the Opps for
fear of 'later wait police come and catch me'?
But the truth is....... police will not come and catch ma!
The residents of Hougang and Potong Pasir have been voting
opposition for goodness knows how long.
In the first place, this fear stems from people thinking that
our votes are not secret.
Well, let me quote Sylvia Lim on this:
"Now some of you may ask, how come the PAP or Workers' Party
knows which area supported them more or supported them less.
The simple answer is that the votes are counted by polling
district. Each polling district may have about 2000-3000
voters; roughly about ten to twenty blocks. So, we will know
for each polling district, what was the percentage which supported
Worker's Party. But we
will not know which individual block or individual
voter. "
PAP is not the state. The State is not PAP.
