I’m not surprise about Malaysian Chinese prefer to stay in
Malaysia rather than Singapore. They only want to make money and
then go back to Malaysia. Many of them asked when they got a job in
Singapore, “Can I apply for PR status in Singapore? How to apply
for PR?” Work for a few decades in Singapore, save/make money and
then retire in their own country of Malaysia or open their own
business in Malaysia.
Yup, I have malaysian friends doing just that...Singapore is too
stressful and everything is very expensive...especially housing and
cars...
