If u’re still around, what u said in your first post is
generally true. Many of my Local Indian friends do not get employed
by SME chinese bosses, esp if they are
chinese educated bosses. They advertise ‘mandarin speaking only
need apply. So their only recourse is the public sector. That said,
local Indians still prefer to stay in S’pore bec the std of living
here is better (much better) than in India.
I am chinese n raised here. From young i have witnessed local
chinese making jokes abt local Indians (scent), Indians making
jokes about Malays (multiply like rabbits), and Malays making jokes
abt Chinese (slity eyes from sqatting in the WC). Multi racialism
here is a sham.
BUT NOW, all local Indians, local Malays,
and local Chinese have formed a UNITED front
against those damn foreigners working here: whites, filipinos,
prcs, (n sorry) india indians.
