The massive outburst of racism in response to an account of one
person's day is quite disturbing.
This is by no means an isolated incident, and I just happened to
come accross this while searching for information on singapore. I
found multiple accounts of institutional racial prejudice in
singapore.
Sure, if an individual does not like being belittled due to
thier racial background they can leave. But that is not a
productive way to look at it, problems should be addressed not
shoved in people's faces. Singapore projects the aura of a world
class city, and this is how it's citizens act?
I am neither Indian or Chinese and this does not paint singapore
in a favorable light for foreign investment, touism, etc... Which
creates jobs and expand the economy of any modern nation.
