You cannot put a dollar amount on NS. It cheapens the sacrifices
made by our NSmen. Two of the best years of our lives, literally
putting our lives at risk - that is something that can never be
compensated at any tax rate.
Just force second-generation PRs to do NS. If they fail to do so
and fly out of the country, then declare them to be fugitives from
law, with the threat of instant arrest should they step foot on
Singapore soil.
Hell, PNG the whole family and put them on the first flight out
of Changi. If their sons cannot be bothered to serve this country,
then our sons should not have to serve them.
second generations ones are good. but i feel usually the loyallty
will cume when the first generations are gone, the second
generations's offsprings when all in the family are singaporens
better. i still feel they should serve but looking at their IC
nationallity status i dont trust them to be in our amred forces -
really.
kicking them out if they show signs of disloyalty will be good.
but dont be in a haste to do so. we must also take back those
privileges when they do leave. all those baby bonuses, sale from
flats and properties gettign large amounts of profilts, utilities
rebates and other traceable ones. we have to count it dollars by
dollars. if not they cum and emjoy all these, then just leave.
laffing all the way to the bank!
