zulkifli mahmood SG I see there is not much vibrant spirit during festivities celebration In Singapore not only during CNY but also during Hari Raya, Deepavalli and Christmas too. Singapore is a city and those with kampung to return to they will celebrate it at their kampung and some without kampung will take this opportunity to travel abroad. Just like the west, people from the city will go back to their country home to celebrate with their families or they would also simply go travelling within or outside their country. So most cities will be quite empty during the main festival seasons.
