So what do we expect?
Bring them in to build your comfortable offices and homes. Once
they are done contributing to the nation's growth and advancement,
keep them locked in a square so they will not inconvenience the
locals.
It's funny how Sgs complain and whine about the racism they face
themselves in the UK and Australia, which makes me wonder what the
UK and Australia locals 'perceives' the Sgs. For example, an
American Chinese friend of mine who moved here 2 years ago told me
more Sgs need to use deodorants, :). I guess the Banglas arent the
only smelly ones here.
So yeah - I am firm with my believes. The immigrants of China
and Bangla who are considered the lower 'cast' eventually walks up
the ropes and takes the reigns, similar to what has happened in the
Australia, UK and US.
Hasn't anyone noticed something yet? Ever walked into the
Investment Banking and Fund Managements divisions in the Banks in
Singapore - you might have noticed the % of locals working there is
lesser than 10 from only 4 years ago.
