Clivebenss's meaning of Hokkien Ir Zi is different from your mother's meaning of Hokkien Ir Zi but happen to be the same meaning as my Teochew Ir Zi.

What do you think now?

The Tang Wa old women meaning of Ir Zi may coincide with Clivebenss meaning of Ir Zi, just that they did not gave you the definite answer. Your mom's Ir Zi happen to coincide with my Teochew usage of Ir Zi, that's interesting.
