Apparently the health care cost in the government re-structured
hospital has gone up again. A friend who accompanied his family
member to NUH this morning the 3rd day of the
Chinese New Year found that their bill went up by at least 20% .
They asked the payment counter executive, if there was a mistake
and, she told them that all prices have moved up again( despite the
so called subsidy component stated in the bill), so the absolute
figure has increased. This is so for consultant’s fees, as well as
procedures like simple blood test scans , x rays etc .
We need Mr Khaw to come back to MOH to
bring back low cost health care !
