No.....I am a will to be parent and I can't imagine the stress my son/daughter would grow up in.If you don't get distinction or eg all band 1s in school exams,people would label you as finished or a no-hoper.Surely there is more to life than getting good grades?

I don't deny that kids have to work hard to get good grades but at the expense of not enjoying their childhood?Weeks filled with all kinds of activities plus the stress from school?It is unthinkable.

I definitely would try to play and study together with my child.Set realistic targets for him/her in their education and help them to enjoy their lives.

Yeah,you are right.....So the first 3 to 6 years of the child will be crucial to discipline and education.The kids nowadays don't really know how to count their blessings eg,their freedom and material luxuries.

You need to let yourself know the reality of life and discover for yourself how to live a free and happy life, before you can truly guide your child to be in control. You can't simply dictate your child unless you know the way of happy life. What is the purpose of life, is it really that simple having a child just to discipline and education, can discipline and education really work!!! If that is just to discipline and education, why go through the troubles for yourself then...if the society is disciplined and educated, is discipline and education so important !! Have fun!
