Burnt National flag hung by PAP found at Marine Parade

In a sign that Singaporeans are getting sick and tired of the
repressive PAP regime, a burnt flag hung by PAP grassroots members
(or Bangla workers) was found outside a flat in Marine Terrace on
Monday under Marine Parade GRC.
It had already burnt itself out by the time the Singapore Civil
Defence Force arrived on the scene a little after 7pm. The police
are looking into the matter.
According to a residen who lived on the 24th story of the 25-storey
block, flags were hung at every floor for National Day. The burnt
flag may have come from the banister of the stairwell.
“I went out at 1pm and came back around 6pm. When I came
out of the lift, I noticed burnt material on the floor. Upon closer
inspection, I saw that it had been burnt in many parts, but it
looked like the national flag, so I called the town
council,” she told the state media.
Despite a massive propaganda campaign by the state media and PAP
grassroots organizations to implore Singaporeans to hang the
National flag to ‘celebrate’ National Day, few flags were hung
outside the windows of units in HDB flats.
As such, the ‘face-conscious’ PAP regime has no choice but to
activate its grassroots members and in some cases even employed
Bangladeshi workers to hang the National flag along the common
corridor and staircases to generate ‘fake’ support for the
unpopular regime.
While we condemned this act of burning our National flag, we urged
PAP leaders to reflect on why such an incident had happened when it
was unheard of in the past.
