Ban smoking in park connectors

Clivebenss SG

I REFER to the National Environment Agency's reply on smoking in prohibited places ('Action taken against smoking offences: NEA'; Monday), and the list of such places on its website.

To my surprise, park connectors are not listed among the public places where smoking is prohibited.

During my regular runs at Serangoon Park Connector, I have seen many people smoking on benches there.

Park connectors are widely used by the public as recreation spaces. It is ironic that smoking is allowed in places where people expect to enjoy fresh air.
